What the heck is a killer strawberry?

Either I'm really getting old and out of touch, or there is some dumb stuff out there.

tired. going to bed. hopefully can fit a ride in before rain moves in tomorrow . ( again )

Some day, hopefully before you hit 30, you'll understand that riding in the rain is part of the deal.

Hey Pcad, do you hate all teenagers? That means me, mike, midget, I think those are the ones on this thread. Or just razor.

I hate everybody. Get off my lawn.

mzeffex 05-12-10 05:41 AM

I saw that coming.

But I'm afraid I can't go out there. It is raining, and I am not waterproof, you see.

gsteinb 05-12-10 05:46 AM

Don't sweat it. I'd never go out to train in the rain. God made trainers for a reason.

mzeffex 05-12-10 05:50 AM

I love rain riding. Well, love is a bit strong, but I do ride when it rains.

gsteinb 05-12-10 06:07 AM

is it opposite day, where you just contradict each post you make? I'm on some pretty hardcore drugs, but calm the eff down Alice.

Tulex 05-12-10 06:16 AM

I know I don't get the whole race thing. But when you guys get hurt, do you ever wonder why you don't just ride some junk miles?

gsteinb 05-12-10 06:18 AM

because if I didn't race bikes I'd be racing something else

I kind of enjoy it myself, but to a point. When it starts hammering rain it's a drag. And I've come to hate racing in the raing so much that I avoid it now. TT's in the rain are fine, mass start races are a drag. But if I were good at this sport like Gary, I'd welcome the wet conditions for a number of reasons.

gsteinb 05-12-10 09:12 AM

It could be a modded AFX G+Plus chassis!

Riding in the rain is fun on nice quiet roads but once you start having to ride across those steel plates they place over road construction and deal with a lot of traffic not so much.

I live in Orange County NY. All we have here are nice quiet roads, shattered only by the occasional appearance of an Orange County Chopper.
