Velo Vol 06-05-10 03:20 PM

That's safely within Fred territory.

Velo Vol 06-05-10 03:23 PM

Why are people making a big deal about 40,000 (which Pcad isn't even close to yet) and no one celebrated the palindromic post count I just had?

I don't get it.

i wouldn't disagree but my riding is very uneven and i can improve a lot by just concentrating on the climbing. The stiff climbs wipe me out and holds up the progress but thats the only weak point.

Tulex 06-05-10 03:26 PM

Because no one is sure of if he can do it before he kicks.

67 miles today with the Joule 2.0. 5,000 feet of climbing. Longest sustained climb is only about 900 feet, but there are a lot of 50-200 foot rolling hills in Orange County. Hell, the climb up Mt. Doom is 380 feet alone.

That Joule ROULES.

I wanna see some power data.

Fixed for the 41.

The closer I get to 40K, the more I think about disappearing from this stupid site forever with my post count @ 39,999.

You would of course ruin it by starting a thread about how you did that.

I could do it in Foo, it would leave my post count frozen.

patentcad 06-05-10 03:43 PM

I'll be at the TT in Harriman tomorrow. Nobody to crash into besides me.

You can fight it, but it's pointless. I hear the cake is already ordered.

coasting 06-05-10 03:44 PM

if you disappeared, would there be a state funeral on bf?

patentcad 06-05-10 03:45 PM

Rode that TT course today. 11 miles. 7 miles of it on crappy pavement that's so bad staying on the aero bars could be dicey on the fast sections. 4 miles on perfect new pavement. So it goes. A couple of rolling hills, all big-ringable.

Not if they can't find the body.

Tulex 06-05-10 03:49 PM

Wow, why does foo not raise the count?

Who are you trying to kid. It will be in the ditch on the side of the road going up Mt. Doom.

Velo Vol 06-05-10 03:56 PM

If we're lucky, RichinPeoria will post some cake pictures to help celebrate 40,000.

Tulex 06-05-10 03:57 PM

Hey pCad, have you given any thought as to who this 40Kth will be in response to, or are you going to be sure to just reply to yourself?

Tulex 06-05-10 03:59 PM

I think he is probably running a mock simulation as we type to see how it will play out.

There was a crash in the TT I did today. Some guy missed a turn and ended up going over the bars into the swamp. Apparently the mud is about 3 feet deep. I hope somebody got some photos.
