Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Like I said, I think he's a nice kid, and I think he has some class, when he's not being dumber than a box of hammers, which is half the time.

Plus I like the strumming guitar mood music sound track on that video. Nice touch for the gringos.

Breaking news: Synvisc injection #2 has made my knee sore. But Pcad rides.

Easy 30 miler this AM. Little ring. My chain will not fall off, since I will not be shifting the front derailleur, and I don't ride that unspeakable Sram crap.

Another motorcyclist commits suicide. That's the fourth motorcyclist killed without automotive assistance up here in two weeks.

You know, I'm starting to think motorcycling has more imbeciles than cycling. And that's saying something right there.

I do both. Let that be your guide.

The replay of the incident showed that he jumped the back wheel for a second, which then dropped the chain.

There you go. I am the master of answers.

I don't get it. Did something happen at the TDF?

More ammo for the 33. I've got a great big bullseye on my butt.

have you ever regretted riding a bike that is minimalist and takes no racks and fenders etc?

i'm preparing for a night ride and i'm fitting lights to it and things keep occuring to me that should really be taken on the ride. I'll need walking shoes, regular shorts, a map, extra clothes incase it gets cold overnight, extra food and water, there will be nowhere to buy.
