I've expanded my regular workout loop by 8 miles and 1000 feet of elevation. 25 miles and 2500 feet, it used to be a "weekend ride" because of the effort necessary. I've knocked 20 minutes off the completion time from when I first began the route 2 years ago. Topping out at 2500 feet, it's really scenic, with views of west Los Angeles, the San Fernando valley, and the Pacific ocean.

I just rode 20 miles on freshly paved road. How sweet it is. I felt like I could go for ever. That makes me think that those of you that get to ride on smooth roads are not that much faster that me.
