The guy that posted that vid needs to learn the very real difference between 150 mph and 150 kph

The replay of the incident showed that he jumped the back wheel for a second, which then dropped the chain.

There you go. I am the master of answers.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase " I'm sorry".

I don't get it. Did something happen at the TDF?

More ammo for the 33. I've got a great big bullseye on my butt.

Does this bulls eye make my butt look big?

Yeah, I didnt see it either. my cable co. moved verses to a different package just before the tour.

have you ever regretted riding a bike that is minimalist and takes no racks and fenders etc?

Like, do I wish I could put those things on at times?

Absolutely. But, I would like to do mini tours, so that makes sense.

coasting 07-20-10 09:28 AM

i'm preparing for a night ride and i'm fitting lights to it and things keep occuring to me that should really be taken on the ride. I'll need walking shoes, regular shorts, a map, extra clothes incase it gets cold overnight, extra food and water, there will be nowhere to buy.

coasting 07-20-10 09:31 AM

do you remember a while back umd did an epic ride of like 200 miles in a day. i was impressed that he managed to take everything for an all day ride in just his jersey pockets.

rjones28 07-20-10 09:36 AM

You could use these things to mount a rack on your bike withouth eyelets.

You can get he topeak rack that clamps on your seat post. We use that for long day rides. You can put something like 20 pounds on it, but you should change out your CF post if you have one. It's nice in that it's on or off in a matter of 5 seconds.
It's This or the E version I think. Then you can put This or one like it on it.

coasting 07-20-10 09:47 AM

thanks for the suggestions. it's all a bit sudden and i think i'll look into it and plan the purchases when i decide i would do a bit of touring. for this weekend i think i'll just carry a littl ruck sack on the back. too many things to get at short notice, so I'll focus on the unavoidables. I got a reflective vest today.

patentcad 07-20-10 09:48 AM

The creaky noises on my S2 were also QR levers that needed extreme tightening. Over-tightening, really.

So it goes.

coasting 07-20-10 09:52 AM

i don't get it. if your QR was so loose as to rattle, how comes you didnt have brake alignment issues?

That's a Youtube glitch. New videos ALWAYS say they have 300-320 views.
