Trust me: 'NYU' carries more weight on a resume than 'SUNY'. So does the experience, contacts and exposure of going to school there. Is it worth the dough? Maybe, maybe not. All you can do is sign the big free agent. You can't make him hit 40 home runs.
It's a crap shoot. |

Canada doesn't has even the quarter of the "college hip" that you guys have down there, it's so crazy, the amounts you guys pay, and the "weight ona resume" and all, wow...just wow.

I was not aiming my comment directly at you, but pretty much at the US, you guys are wack with your college stuff.

Well, after the US sinks under the weight of its budget deficit, Canada can buy us @ the foreclosure auction if you can outbid China. My kid's NYU or Barnard degree will have landed her a job as the auction sales agent and she'll get a big commission either way.

I hear you. But today, it's not about going for 4. So, in the long run, it's where you finish, not where you spent the most time. A lot of people are getting 2 or 4 year degrees in peeon schools, then getting the paper at a name school.

Cool story bro.

It has gotten crazy. Soon or later (probably sooner) the U.S. higher education bubble will pop, just like the housing one did.

I note that the very large T-shirt was strategically located to hide the subject's belly.
Unintentional, no doubt.

It's a sham. There's sticker price and there's what most people pay. Most kids get financial aid from these overpriced idiot schools.
I don't pay real close attention, but every year it seems UT raises tuition 6-9%. Even at "full employment" that's not something that can be sustained forever. And with the job market the way it is now (and will be for several years) there will be a lot of graduates in deep poo. |

You'll learn. |
Or maybe I won't, who knows.

I have this massive cardboard sign from the Trek tour de france contest, and I don't know where to put it.
|
It could make a nice fire.

Na, it's cool. I also just saw the big lebowski for the first time. It was okay.
