Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No, it's a Fleetwood Bounder. That's not mine, but the same model as mine. I vaguely remember the Frasier episode.

Random thought -

What is it with Cyclists and colarbone breaks?

Why is that? You don't hear about colarbone breaks in other impact sports. So is it the way the fall from a bike is that makes it common? Or that cyclists are just so thin? Or what?

collarbone injuries are very common in motocross.

And what makes cycling an "impact sport"

I think it's the combo of high speed and low upper body muscle.

Typically, when you break a collar bone, there was some sort of impact.

I'd say it's not meant to be an Impact / contact sport. Correct. It becomes that. Like basketball. Not a contact sport, but they contact one another all of the time.

As I keep reminding you, us "elitist" racers still ride bikes on the road. Our experiences are relevant in the road cycling forum. On the other hand, those who do not race generally do not have relevant experiences to contribute in the racing forum. Funny how that works. That said, if someone wants to come in and not stir up trouble, we don't have issues with that.

you got our comedy when we actually made good comedy up to 70s and early 80s. then they went cheap and nasty and discovered reality tv and no decent drama or comedy got made and we get all the good american ones like csi, law and order etc. sex and the city, friends, frasier etc. even now the fillers are repeats of friends.

Thanks.

The question was about direct imports. They show some real old-looking goofy British stuff on PBS.

Do they voice-over all the actors with British accents?
