We gotta hook up with kimconyc and ride up 9W of these days jorge.

That Spartacus: Blood and Sand show is getting juicy. Very entertaining. Excellent actors, good script, lots of cool sex and violence. What's not to like?

Much of that is because 700c bicycle wheels don't have a lot of traction to work with. So you can lock 'em up alright, but that doesn't mean the stupid bike will actually stop.

where'd you order them from?

Yeah, sounds good I'm always up for a ride and it would be nice riding with kimconyc again. Do you need a helmet mirror? I have an extra alloy one (sorry, I use the carbon one) but no dork disks.

kimconyc 03-30-10 12:26 PM

First Annual Pcad's Fredly Century Ride starting at Strictly and up to Pcad's place for a BBQ?

Pcad can recoup the cost of his teeth by charging $50 a head for the self-supported ride--BYOB, mirrors and dork disks not provided, must ride single file.

Quel 03-30-10 12:28 PM

How much does that tooth weigh? You probably just got a better $/gram savings than carbon bottle cages.

kimconyc 03-30-10 12:32 PM

Maybe this will start a Fred pilgrimage to Mecca (Casa del Pcad) for a viewing of the tooth.

Probably not.

<5 grams, it won't register on my scale.

Oh, don't worry, they'll make it up here all right. Remember they all have compacts and triples. It will soften them up, and when they get to my driveway, I'll sic my killer watchdog on them.

Does that mean you actually weighed it? Dear God man, we were not being serious.

How awesome would a photo of that stupid tooth on a gram scale have been? Have you no greater appreciation of True BF Pointlessness?

patentcad 03-30-10 06:19 PM

I'm doing all the work thread. Pull through you friggin Fred losers. How many elbows do I have to flick?

sorry, I was eating a slice of pizza while riding with no hands and it had lots of Oregano so don't hang on to my wheel too closely.

The damn thread is trying it's best to die, P.

Let it slip peacefully beneath the waves. Start a new one. Who's better at that than you?

patentcad 03-30-10 06:54 PM

I have become oddly attached to this one though.

kimconyc 03-30-10 06:54 PM

Wait, so you didn't keep the tooth?

At < 5g it would have made a nice headtube badge on the Addict, probably would have even provided some aero benefits.

patentcad 03-30-10 06:58 PM

I have the tooth. It has excellent Gross Out Value.

kimconyc 03-30-10 07:01 PM

Maybe it's better to stick it on your seatpost so that when you are racing, the guy behind you has the inconvenient choice of staring at ass or crazy tooth.

Nobody . . . . nobody's better at that than you!

So if some of you 41ers want to come up here for a ride one of these Sundays or Saturdays I could accommodate you, if I'm not racing. Maybe a 50 mile ride, then maybe some BBQ. A mini Mt. Doom BBQ, limited to 5 or 6 of you guys. I don't need Doomstock. Hell, I should charge you peons for a Pcad Seminar. Maybe $100 each, but that would include the BBQ and all the Diet Orange Soda you can drink. My house is 40 minutes north of Paramus, it's all highway. Kimco we could figure out a way to get you back and forth too if you're sans car. Maybe ride up to Ft. Lee and hook up with jorge.

I think that could be fun.

I'm willing to pay money and register on a site like Activedotcom for a "Pcad BBQ Ride", where the prize for KOM points up Mt. Doom is a viewing of the tooth.

mzeffex 03-30-10 07:40 PM

I'll be there. All the diet orange soda I can drink!
