First Cavendish has dental issues and then PCad - must be the Scott shaking all of your teeth loose.

Sudafed and Advil after the race? Doping, you're doing it wrong.

I finally managed to poach some Tylenol with Codeine, now I can try to sleep.

patentcad 03-28-10 10:58 PM

If you have the right blow, you don't need Tylenol kid.

patentcad 03-29-10 12:17 AM

My tooth is killing me. Can't sleep. Oh well.

I'll drag this whole friggin place down the pain hole with me.

Wondered what was keeping you up.

Embrace the suffering.

But this pain isn't making me any faster. Oh well.

Bad day on the bike today, but at least I was out there. Rough week. And this coming week will be rougher still.

Health issues. On the other hand, I've had Big health issues, and in comparison, this stuff is nothing. I was off my bike for five years. From that rather valuable perspective, getting shelled halfway through some NYC race is a rather joyful experience.

Perspective boys. It's all about your vantage point. Which is the Big Picture about L. Armstrong that so many of his detractors fail to grasp. Sad for them, meaningless in the broader scheme.

This is why I'm not understanding the "what you dislike about cycling?" thread. Man it's great to be have the choice to ride.

By the way pcad at least you've got free health care now. Your teeth can be as good as us Brits... :innocent:

11AM. Oral surgeon. Third extraction this year. Hell, I'm running out of teeth.

I may have to move to TN and hang with Gomer. Oh well. Soon I will become intimately familiar with the nightmarish world of dental implants. The way things are going in this economy I feel blessed to even have friggin access to competent dental care at all.

I'm so humble and down to earth sometimes it's scary. And half the weenies here hate me. I mean, go figure.

patentcad 03-29-10 06:55 AM

By the way, gsteinb (who finds it somewhat harder to completely ignore me in the real world) confessed to me that after his recent pro bike fit he may well have more spacers in his stem stack soon than yours truly. I'm hoping that will give botto a stroke.

if its comforting at all my MIL just had her first set of dental implants (shes around 60) and apparently the process was super smooth, from extraction to completion. she was over my house last night chewing on almonds, no problem. they dont ALL go bad...

If you missed The Pacific Part 3 last night. It was pretty good. Building up to some good stuff.

Will this lead to another round of BikeForums havoc and member protests?

This can lead to nothing but bad things. Expect 20+ posts on WTF with BF.

Also, Sorry to see the Vols fall.

Extraction went smoothly. I'll get the first implant post in a few weeks.

Better still: I can ride my bike, dentist says dry socket is an issue with lower jaw extractions, rarely with upper. So he gave me the green light to ride. Hoping I won't need pain meds since the extraction went easily (last time the tooth broke up and it took him half an hour, this time it took him two minutes. Big difference.

Pics of gross extracted tooth upon request.
