Good thinking, I must be taking the Sudafed and Advil to get stoned. But it's not working.

Getting dropped every now and then in a bike race isn't failure. That's racing. Bad racing perhaps, but racing nonetheless. Everybody gets shelled. Not showing up the next week because the shelling crushes your head, now that's failure.

I may suck at this, but every dog has his day, I have helped my team in the past and if I will return to help them in the future. But not today.

Velo Vol 03-28-10 09:59 AM

Dead weight.

You have to take the Sudafed with pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.

I finished well enough in last week's crit. This morning was too cold for me so I decided to bag the crit and instead, head out for a solid training ride / racing automobiles at 1PM.

That's what the pros use, but they get them for free.

Kai Winters 03-28-10 12:49 PM

A new kind of thuggery look?...

patentcad 03-28-10 01:26 PM

Trust me, Pcad was sick; it was sweet when he was hacking right next to me before I banged out 95 miles.

It rained and was a bit cold but that Reese's Nutrageous bar I had on the way home so did it...

Velo Vol 03-28-10 03:55 PM

I'm ruing.

kimconyc 03-28-10 03:57 PM

The best part of today's race was watching the Cat-5's get neutralized by the Cat-1's and hearing some of the Cat-1's talk smack as they passed by :D

You have earned a coveted Pcad HTFU Citation of Merit for this ride.

I will be scheduling the third extraction of a tooth in 2010 tomorrow AM. All failed root canals. Oh well. Time to start the implant process soon.

That will mean zero riding until at least Thursday to avoid the condition I had last time. That's called dry socket. Can't go there again. Hey, maybe the rest isn't the worst thing that could happen.

It's going to be a rough night for Uncle Pcad weenies. I don't expect to get much sleep. I just took my last pain pill and it's not working.

Barese Rider 03-28-10 06:19 PM

PCad, Think Scotch or Vodka.

Velo Vol sorry about your Vols. Thought for awhile that they were going to do it.

Don't think you should do the extraction if you are sick.

You don't understand. This is not an elective procedure. This is a dental crisis. Out it goes.

Kai Winters 03-28-10 08:49 PM

Pcad soon to be the sponsor of a dentist's new Pinarello...ouch on both ends...

With the dental work I need, he could by an IF with Lightweight tubies and an SRM.

patentcad 03-28-10 09:17 PM

Man it's friggin HAMMERING rain out there again tonight. But the bikes are in the barn, cleaned up and the Zipp tubie is repaired and race-able. All systems are go, but now I don't think I can ride much this week.

Oh well. They're fun to look at.

I like riding in the rain. I'll be off the bike so my mouth can heal after tomorrow's extraction. You can't ride for 72+ hours after an extraction. I learned that the hard way.
