When the pain pills wear off the pain is still pretty bad. I can ride with a Percoset hangover, but I can't race. Hoping this gets better by Monday, but I don't think it's going to relent in time for me to race Saturday or Sunday. That blows.

Light eating and some long miles, hopefully I'll burn off some fat this weekend. The pain is still there while cycling, but the endorphins make it bearable. After I stop, forget about it.

At least with dental extraction and the resulting pain will only last maybe a 2 weeks at most, try hemorrhoids next time!! I've been off the bike for a year due to the ongoing drama involved with that crap and the doctor told me to stay off the bike. I got cleared for riding again late last month and rode the bike 3 times and the butt feels great but my legs don't.

I wouldn't wish hemorrhoids on anyone, not even you! Seriously though, I hope you get feeling better quick.

patentcad 04-02-10 05:27 PM

I know a few people I would wish hemorrhoids upon.

OK. Post pics when you get them. You Sram friggin HEATHEN. Kimconyc and I will have to use D.A. Shock Therapy on you when we ride up 9W. Hey jorge, remember when we used to have flame wars with each other on BF? Those were the days.

I'm a Sramano guy. Can it get any worse? No love from the Campy crowd (but who cares), and condemnation from both the SRAM and Shimano people.

If I could justify the costs, I would get Di2, however.

If you're implying I'm Gay, I can only wish it were so, but sadly confess I'm a boring middle aged heterosexual married man.

kimconyc 04-02-10 05:54 PM

BTW, was up at Runcible Spoon this afternoon. I usually don't eat there but when I swung by, some people I knew were there.

I was waiting for my sandwich and Sarah Jessica Parker was next to me with her friend deciding on cookies. Totally Random--Nyack?

I'm not sure which ones she got but that would probably have been useful info. because she looks like she weighs 80 pounds. I failed.

Too bad I didn't know it was her. I thought my friends were just happy to see me when they kept waving at me.

If you are thinking of converting, I bet some of the gentlemen in Chelsea would love to have the company of an old guy who works out 15 hours a week.

SJ Parker eh? We used to run into Bill Murray there once in a while after the Nyack Ride. By the way, SJ is too fat for this sport.

I do work out 15 hours a week. More.

That's insane.

Hey pcad, I've been dissapointed in Cervelo riders lately. The one yesterday didn't wave. The one today I could have dropped on my mountain bike, but had to make a turn.

I did meet one nice guy today who had one though.

patentcad 04-02-10 06:55 PM

Guys who ride Cervelos are usually untalented fat poser racer wannabes. I know one guy like that myself.

mzeffex 04-02-10 07:18 PM

Touche.

My cat says hi. Just sayin'

Because this thread doesn't lack maturity as it is.

Maturity is boring.

40 km ride done, breakfast picnic at the beach with the family done, dog walked and it's only 10am. Love long weekends

My whole life is a long weekend that started in 1991. It's not over yet.

Velo Vol 04-02-10 08:59 PM

Tomorrow I'm off to meet some relatives at the south end of the Cherokee National Forest, then an afternoon ride on uncharted roads.

Hopefully I won't get lost in the wilderness.

Velo Vol 04-02-10 09:23 PM

I don't recognize many of the people on Facebook.

They should change their profile pictures to their BF avatars.

If I go where I'm looking at going, I might well see that.
