Like a extra tube,small set of tools etc?I have a bag on my bike but would like to do away with it.Do u guys carry any of this in your jersey pockets??Thanks for input

i have a very small t2 saddle bag that keeps everything very tight, rattle free and compact. works well for me. when i ride my alternate road bike i throw an ultralight tube wrapped in a rubber band with park tools glueless patches under the band, my lezyne pump and a tire lever in my jersey pocket.

ive got a small saddle bag that i keep co2 and a spare tube. in my pockets i'll carry food, an extra water bottle for those long days, i carry a multipurpose tool just in case, cell phone and maybe about 5 dollars.

In my pockets. Everything you need fits in your jersey pockets.

I carry:
1 tube
1 C02
1 mini air-chuck
2 small tire spoons
1 cell phone
credit card
license
food

What else do you need?

8 tool multi + weight weenie cell + tire lever in back pocket...this under the saddle so I can have extra bottle cages.

That screams triathlete.

I use my pockets, I have 3 of them.

Either small saddle bag or put them in a ziplock bag and throw them in your pocket.

Sometimes a windbreaker and/or arm warmers, leg warmers, mini-pump, patch kit, multi-tool, and a camera.

If you put a tube, patch kit, tire boot, mini pump, mini tool, in a small seat bag its always there when you go ride. Nothing to think about, hassle with, or forget.

All that can also fit in a jersey pocket, but then you got to grab all that stuff and put it in the jersey.

Just leaving it with the bike is easier IMHO.

agree, and i like to carry my cell phone and camera in my jersey for quick access.

Is that actually meant to hold the tube and Co2 cartridges or did you improvise ?

I mainly commute by bike, so most of my gear is in my backpack. Though, I'd love to get rid of a load of stuff from my backpack. If you have an old watter bottle you can stuff some of your gear in there as well.

i totally agree. early morning bleary-eyed is not the best time to try and not be forgetful. I dont even bother with the minitool anymore. i just carry 2 allen keys since virtually everything that needs adjusting takes those 2.

why do people need to carry 4 water bottles? 2 is enough generally and if not one refill does the trick but i don't even bother with that. i just buy a little bottle of orange juice if i need more liquid. the extra sugar in it is a help.

most rear mounted systems have some form of strap to hold a tube and threaded holes for threaded co2 cartridges

Tube, mini tool, 2 tire levers in a small tightly packed seat back. Extra tube, cell and I.D. in Jersey pockets and this is for the 2 to 3 hour rides. Anything over 3 hours I have a small Camelbak that I add a chain tool and the stuff in my jersey goes in the Cbak.

I don't want to be 20 miles into the ride and suddenly remember that I didn't a set of tire levers.

As to the topic, Everything I need fits nicely in to my jersey pockets. The only thing I carry on my bike is a water bottle.

i don't like the idea of a multitool or something else sharp and hard pointing at my kidneys in my pocket if i should fall. ouchy.
