Because on my 4-5 hour training loop, ~7k ft climbing, I may not see a water stop for ~4 hours. You think I carry the extra weight for funsies?

Frame mounted pump. In saddlebag: tube, levers, patch kit, CO2 inflator with 3 cartridges, multitool, chain tool, extra link,, cell phone, cleat covers. 2 water bottles on frame. I use my pockets for money, key, extra clothes when needed, food.

I carry all my tools, tube, etc in a Pro storage bottle. https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=NP07739
Most of my rides have easy access to refill my water bottle so only one is necessary. If I need 2 bottles, I put the storage bottle in my jersey pocket and a second bottle on the bike.

I cut the top off an old water bottle and put my junk inside.
tube, lever, CO2, powerbar, patchkit and cell phone.
One bottle is usually good enough for our rides. Or there is a coffee break at some point.

Have a little pouch that came with multi tool and put in money and license along with tire levers. Carry a spare tube and co2 all in my back pockets. It is very easy to grab these 3 things plus my cell phone and I am good to go. Just have never liked saddle bags....then when I go to one of my other bikes I don't have to move the bag around.

I have forgotten everything on that list at least once, many more often than that. That is why I like all my flat repair stuff on the bike, where it isn't dependent upon my memory. But I could fit my seat bag in my jersey pocket, when I am not filling them up with stuff, to achieve the effect you are looking for.

But I think it would be very easy to assemble a "bike wallet" that has your mini-tool, co2, tube, id, credit card, and cash in one easy to grab rig. The only problem is that I would forget to grab the bike wallet, guaranteed. *sigh*

Yes, they do. A usefull little back up, since cell phones are not 100% reliable. Not sure that any major carriers bother with them anymore. It may be only a local thing. Its easier to hear the cell phone using ear phones on the bike, however.

Perhaps you'd like to rephrase that?
