Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Your Fredly 41 blathering has no impact on the Pcad Cycling Zen.

Just sayin'.

In all fairness to me though, he had fresh legs and I had already done my route once (40 miles) and was just repeating it again.
Like to see those averages where I live.

I'm an hour north of Cincy (I don't actually live in Columbus - but I'm there more often than at home) and we have some decent hills around here. It's no Colorado but they make you work.

Well there's always the Cincinnati Reds to ease your pain. That's like the Mets only worse. Although I'm not sure it really gets much worse than the Mets.

I just mentioned Cincinnati as a reference...now if you want me to hate on Columbus I could talk your ear off all day. Starting with Buckeye fans and how ridiculous they are.

How could that be? Curly's was a "nyuk, nyuk, nyuk" as in yuk.

Nyack is Ny as in "high" and ack as in "back" . . . Nyack as in highback.

Srsly. I have lived all over the world and the one place I HATED but shouldn't have was Ohio. The fans played a key role.

So true--

I think that Ohio is a pretty nice place to live overall though.

I like Ohio but this past winter sucked. And my area of the state...Grand Lake area...about an hour N of Dayton is boring as hell to ride. Every rural road is straight, flat and almost exactly one mile from corner to corner. You can measure your routes by how many blocks you do. But, it's all I have for now so I just enjoy the ride.

Oh, GO BUCKS..lol

Yup...That's where I lived. St Marys. It is a little slice of un-developed hell on earth. Closest Starbucks - 1 hour away. I would check the flags outside of my plant every day before leaving work to ride so I could tell which direction I should head first.
