I don't know if I told you, but a couple of rides ago an old guy put the hurt on me... like seriously. I was averaging about 23 (don't pick on me for using averages
) and he flew by so I chased and tried to stay on his wheel (just to have someone to talk to....there's nobody out on the roads by us) ....pft, shouldn't have even tried - he was running like 27 without even trying.
In all fairness to me though, he had fresh legs and I had already done my route once (40 miles) and was just repeating it again.

I'm an hour north of Cincy (I don't actually live in Columbus - but I'm there more often than at home) and we have some decent hills around here. It's no Colorado but they make you work.

I just mentioned Cincinnati as a reference...now if you want me to hate on Columbus I could talk your ear off all day. Starting with Buckeye fans and how ridiculous they are.

Srsly. I have lived all over the world and the one place I HATED but shouldn't have was Ohio. The fans played a key role.

I think that Ohio is a pretty nice place to live overall though.

I like Ohio but this past winter sucked. And my area of the state...Grand Lake area...about an hour N of Dayton is boring as hell to ride. Every rural road is straight, flat and almost exactly one mile from corner to corner. You can measure your routes by how many blocks you do. But, it's all I have for now so I just enjoy the ride.
Oh, GO BUCKS..lol
