Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

question on fork rake

so i need to replace the fork on my bike and the tapered fork from EDGE is a 43 mm rake whereas the rake off my bike is 45. my question is, how much of a difference will the 2mm smaller rake make on the handling of the bike? i know the bike will respond quicker and probably not soak up the bumps as much. should i avoid going to the smaller rake?
