Garmin actually stand behind their products
I figured this was news worthy because it is rare to see a thread about a positive experience with a company (and equally as rare to have one).
My Garmin 305 started shutting off over bumps a few weeks ago. It is a few years old now, and out of warranty. I was about to try to fix it myself but read that this was a known issue and Garmin had replaced other 305 units out of warranty for this problem. So I called them, got an RMA number, and just over a week after mailing out my 305 I had a functioning one back from them. The end.

I had a similar experience with them when my cadence sensor would fail intermittently. I worked great 99% of the time but I dropped them a note asking about it and they sent a reply asking for my mailing address. I had a new one in a week, no questions asked. Guess who I'll be buying my next bike computer from. They build a great product and they stand behind it completely.

no new news here. Garmin has always rocked at customer service unless there was some limiting circumstance's...... They even replaced a Ebay'ed unit for me that they did not have to do.
