cycling tops...do they make a tank top design?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What makes you think the OP is a male ... I think the OP is a female or she wouldn't be asking about tank tops. She might be unaware that, unlike the old days, there are cycling clothes for women now too.

Well, I have a sleeveless men's jersey ... it's up there among my favourite jerseys. And back when I first started cycling it was difficult to find cycling clothes for women. So perhaps the OP is an older female who is unaware that there is whole line of women's cycling clothing, and who wants the most feminine-looking men's jersey.

[QUOTE=kaNUK;11043503]It's a badge of honour, and it's called a cyclist's tan unless you are a farmer. I believe it is also covered in "The Rules" (the sharper the line, the better). QUOTE]

Seriously? Come on. You do realize that everyone who doesn't cycle (which is most of the population) thinks you look like an idiot with those tan lines. So by all means sharpen your dumbass tans lines...

If it were socially acceptable, I'd drape myself in (sleeveless) velvet.

If you need a cyclist's tan for people to know you ride, perhaps you better turn up the volume on your guads.

Ride what you like, wear what you like. If someone else doesn't like it, they can buy you a bike and new clothes.

Bottom line...RIDE!

spf 70. Because tan lines may look dumb, but tans are dumber. I prefer to avoid the entire "flirt with skin cancer and age yourself prematurely" trend.

The reason for sleeves as I have been told, is a sleeveless jersey, if you crash right, can suffocate you. If you have sleeves, the sleeves keep the jersey from riding up on your chest/neck and suffocate you.

Seriously? That sounds about as likely as the dangers that require mattresses to have warning labels.

Seriously. Tans (and tan lines) are an undesireable consequence of cycling, not a desired goal. Unless you're a complete idiot, like this guy:

hehe.....well its official. IM going to skip both styles and go straight to the full on Snow Suit.

If nothing else....this thread has been a riot to read.

How the hell does a shirt of any type riding up on your chest and neck = suffocation in a crash? im having visions of getting attacked by my own shirt as i lay bleeding to dead on the asphalt. When the ambulance arrives they will find me dead ....and one EMT will look at another and say......"well the fall didnt kill him and the helmet saved his skull...but it looks like that damn shirt reared up and choked him to death after the crash......what a shame"
