Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

June Ride Reports

I was out of town for a week so I missed out on putting some extra miles on.

Here's my report:

330 miles
18,000 ft. elevation gain
24.19 average miles per ride

I thought that said 24.19 miles per HOUR average. That would make this an entertaining thread.

Bikes: Yes

401 miles and 26 hours of riding, but I think that includes some time I spent on the trainer on rainy days as well. Nice solid 58 mile ride last weekend. Good month for the middle of the summer for me.

I rode zero miles after June 3. I just read in a different forum that another guy in NJ rode 17,000+ ft. elevation gain - today. https://forums.roadbikereview.com/sho...d.php?t=217008

last night's ride ended up being an off road ride. My bike is now covered in mud

Other than that, this month has been petty poor for me. I had the flu and then was too weak to ride for another week

606 miles for june.

The end of June also marks 1 year since I got my road bike. I've ridden over 6,000 miles since last July and the addiction continues to grow.
