Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rim Tape Width

Hi

I'm thinking about getting some Shimano 7850 Cls and need some rim tape. I was thinking of Velox, and the widths they have are 13, 17 and 19 widths, but the 17 is out of stock. Can I use the 19. I use continental 4000GPs.

Thanks

davida

13mm should be the proper size.
17mm are for narrow MTB rims or touring rims.
19mm are for wide MTB rims.

Those wheels allegedly come with blue Shimano rim strips.
