Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Klein how to identify ??

I bought a early klein from a gentle man who bought it used in 1994. I am guessing it is a 1980's bike with a 4 digit serial number. I am asking is there a way to find out what model and what year?? I will post picture asap. I think I got a good find here any info would be appreciated

Bikes: Klein

I don't know of any serial number database for Klein bikes. If you can post a picture, there's at least a chance someone can identify it. You might be able to identify the year if you know the model.

Hard to decipher the model and year, but one test you can perform to check to see if the bike is any good is to throw it off a cliff. If it floats back to you like a magic carpet, it's good. If it tumbles end over end and crushes itself as it hits the canyon floor, it's no good.
