Don't forget The BF "Cult of CAAD" Group!

And wow. We are world famous. We've been mentioned by CAAD owners across the
world as a place to come for for pics, builds, information, etc... Not bad CAADicts.

Look at this thing: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/3798761-post15.html

JUST LOOK AT IT. OH MY GOD. I KNOW IT'S NOT A CAAD, BUT IT'S STILL A CANNONDALE. OH JESUS.

adriano 02-27-12 07:00 PM

Here's the original thread: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/can...ml#post3798761

I'm still drooling over it, but I'll stop here because it's not a CAAD.

Love the SuperSixes.

Those Aksiums make me sad like mom jeans on a dishy gal... :( hahaha

a1penguin 02-28-12 03:27 AM

Holy Mother of God.... WANT! Just the right amount of color. That picture is a lot better than the pics on the Cannondale site.

It's usually like that with CDale's photos.
They did a great job with the Evo though.

freedomrider1 02-28-12 01:21 PM

I do not usually care for that color set up ....but WOW!!!

fishymamba 02-28-12 07:44 PM

Weighed my CAAD9 today, and very surprisingly it weighs 17lbs(without pedals)!!!
Upgrades I have done:
Soul 2.0 wheelset
Fizik Arione Saddle

Yeah, so not too many upgrades....i wonder how much weight I can drop by changing that triple crankset......

BTW this weight is without bottle cages/pedals and any other add on.

Get an Ultegra SL crankset.
About 788g, nice & stiff and cheap at between $100.-$150. w/BB.
That and Planet-X CNC Ultralight brakes for about $125.-$150.
Both should be good for 1/2 lb and get you to around 16.5lbs.

I dunno I kinda like the triple crank, we have some pretty steep climbs where I live, and I like to spin up them. I am actually looking to get a bigger cassette.

2ndGen-In the pic of you on the roof, what's with the board that you have your right foot on? Is that nailed through new shingles?

Go with a compact then.
Best of both worlds.

 Hell no that's not me!
They might be using these 2X4 Jacks
(1-2" bar-like bracket, but made to cradle a 2X4).

I'm lovin' that SuperSix above. I just read an article in a UK mag that had the top six selling road bikes in the UK and this was one of them. it looks fast just standing still.

Gentlemen, help me decide. Two water bottle cages. Both black OR one red, one black (like in the photoshopped pic)?

I can help.
You should get 2 clear bottles so you can always see exactly how much water you have left.

Also, I understand the color scheme, but I don't think I like that red bottle cage.

Your bike is very pretty though. :thumb:

Also, say I get a 2012 CAAD10 5 (105 groupset). Is the "FSA Gossamer Pro, BB30" crankset good? If not, can I replace it with the 105 crankset? I thought I heard something about Shimano not making BB30-fitting cranks or something like that?

Shimano currently doesn't make any BB30 or other press-fit inboard bearing cranksets. You need an adapter.

Instead I would just leave the crank alone for now. The Gossamer Pro is a pretty humble crankset, yes, but other than a little weight you really won't gain anything from upgrading.

this should be interesting. one of my favorite frames and forks but i cant quite see them together.

there also seems to be a flood of campy equipped caads being built. the two must go hand in hand.

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=239526 This new 3t pro has zero miles and is available. The Wound up is going to bring my CAAD9 the solid handling I have been doing without . Its going weight about the same as the stock Premium.
