Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They added "10"'s EVERYWHERE.

2012 paint looked much better IMO.

agreed! they look awful. i could have got the force bike for less than i built my bike up for but i hated the paint. I would have also had to change the bars and stem and seatpost so it would have ended up costing around the same, but still

I'm not convinced I've post pictures of my bike. These pictures were taken before the fitting. The seat was dropped a tad, and one spacer was moved on top. The reflectors are in the process of removal.

Please excuse the lack of slamming.

Haha, I had finished up a run in the AM. Then road for an hour while the others were running and met them to do some core before my ride home! I finally had the time to snap a few pictures

Thank you, longbeachgary!

The Elite bottle cages are nice. I believe that is what I have. I only say "believe" because I got it for free. I couldn't afford any more bike gear while making my purchase, so I asked to see if he could throw in some cages, and that is what I got! He said he stopped carrying them in favor of other cages, so I got the last one.

Hey guy's, I wanted to get your opinion. I am considering the BOYD vitesse for my CAAD7. The first pic is my bike now with the stock Shimano wheels and the second one is my bike with the BOYDS photoshopped in. Do you like? Is it to much?

I was wanting to know what color scheme was for the Caad as a frameset only. I thought they only had one or two colors as framesets, maybe Im wrong.

It's the CAAD10 5 scheme. blue/green.

The shop doesn't have a chain that they could put on? That's a little odd.

They wanted to show you it weighs just 16 pounds before they put the chain on because... *whisper* .. chains weigh five pounds by themselves.

Bikes: CAAD 10

Hi Bill,

I saw your picture in a bike magazine, in the letters section.
I imagine this has mentioned here before. :-)

BTW, I like the color of your bike.

Mitch,
Thanks, I really don't say much about that, it was nice of them to run it in the "Why We Ride" section. The CAAD is a 10 4, 2012, in the "Gulf Oil Racing" livery blue with orange colourway. Not available for that model this year though. My LBS said it is used on a MTB or a hybrid this year. I was a serious gear hear as a kid and teenager, the Can Am racing series and the European reliability racing always were my favorites and the Porsche 917 was my favorite.

Bikes: Campified Caad 10

Not completely finished but 95% complete. The approximate weight as seen in picture is 15.7lbs.

Hmmm, someone just paid 60 bucks for this old SR 500 frame (plus 50 bucks postage). No thanks; not for me. Collector's item?
Its condition is a bit shabby, especially the fork, but I guess it's the cult of Caad that got it over the line.

That is one of the classier caads I've seen in a long time. I really like it.
