Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I wish I could ride with you there. I have memories of visiting New York City when I was a child and looking up at the twin towers and thinking they were moving as the clouds passed by. We recently passed through nyc on the way to Mass from Florida but the traffic was just so bad that we stayed on the outskirts for pics close to the Statue of Liberty. Oh yeah, nice bike!!!

Had a ceramic coating applied to my CAAD10 this week. It only weighed 14 grams for the whole frame! Can't weight to build this back up soon

What advantages are there to using a ceramic coating instead of paint? Durability? Weight?

I hate to quote a deadhorse, but can you buy the factory decals anywhere??? I love my raw aluminum frame, but.. I get tired of things easily.

Good job on that. Nice 1" fork upgrade. I love the geometry and those smooth welds on the older CAAD's.

finally took my '13 Team Replica CAAD10 off of the KK 2.0 road machine. A '11 TREK 2.1 Alpha took its place

Not really going for an all out weight weenie build, but I'd be happy with sub 16.

the entire coat of Cerakote only added 14 grams total. Paint will weigh +100 grams and powdercoating weighs even more. It's suppose to be more durable as well.

Does anyone know the last year Cannondale offered BSA CAADs? Would love to pick up a CAAD frame but I'm not really interested in the dumpster fire that is press fit BBs.

I can tell you that I've never had an issue with a creaky BB on my bike. It's all how they're pressed in and how much grease you use.

I think 2009 but yeah nothing inherently wrong with BB30 or PF. I have had 2 bb30and one PF frame and only creaks where BB30 with a BSA sleeve adapter installed when the loctitie started to fail

I just picked her up yesterday. Bought a new rig primarily because I wanted a smaller frame. I plan on flipping the stem soon.

I like that colorway. What size did you switch down from? I've been thinking of going down from my 54 to a 52.

Thanks. I went from a 52 to a 50. I'm short (5'6) and wanted a more aggressive fit.

More aggressive? If you're not running a slammed -17, why size down?

Here's my 54. I put a 90mm stem on it. I'm 5'8" and I was split between a 52 or a 54. Maybe my next one will be a 52.
