Here's the new ride. I originally was going to build a up a caad frame, But for $1,995 I couldn't pass up this deal. Just got back from a nice 40 mile coastal ride and I am really impressed with the 7900 DA and also the shimano RS80 wheelset. I am only going to be doing a few minor modifications and I will be good to go.
Enjoy the pics:) |
Got it the other day, Love this bike. The only issue I have is there is an odd ticking noise coming from the Bottom Bracket/Front Der....anyone know what that may be?

sounds like maybe your chain or something else might be rubbing up against something. maybe your limit screws arent properly adjusted

2 things: -Are you comfortable with that stem & bar like that? -Also, you could get those Arundels with "red" labels too (I believe). FYI. ;) |

Probably after just 100 miles, it'll start to shift funny and you'll have to adjust them. |
Who's got the lightest CAAD here?
Post your weights! :D http://www.roadcycling.com/artman2/u...ike_weight.jpg |

Wow! That SRAM looks like it was made for that C10 color scheme! Damn nice!

And RK, be prepared for "cable stretch". Probably after just 100 miles, it'll start to shift funny and you'll have to adjust them.

Well, not so much, I just have it set up that way until I can get my new stem and bars, I am way to stretched out the way it is and I need to switch to a 40cm bar
As for the labels, I dont really mind, though I should have done red I didnt really think of the "red" scheme until after the purchase. Thats what I figured as I was riding seeing as I have not had the bike long enough nor have I fallen or anything for something bad to happen. Im, going to take it to the shop on monday to get it checked out, 40 cm bars and possible new stem as well as some red bar tape. Also I HATE THE SADDLE IT CAME WITH Arundel will probably mail you the stickers for free if you become as anal as I am about matching! :D -----> info@arundelbike.com I"ve contacted them before. Really great customer service. |

Oh and what size is the original stem that comes on the CAAD 10... I have looked and cannot find it anywhere. My stem is not excessively long but I could use a slightly shorter stem.
yeaahhh now that I own a CAAD.... expect me on here quite often |

I'd take that over the eBay carbon frames any day!
How much did she cost you when done? Man, I really didn't want to tally it all up. Sometimes I think it would've been easier (and cheaper) to just buy a new or a complete bike. But the joy of wrenching and the satisfaction is priceless.....plus I don't think you could've gotten a bike for the total price with the SRAM Force groupset. The brakeset alone was $326 shipped. So the grand total including the frame, was roughly $1300. Granted this is for a 9-10 year old Cannondale frame. -Jeff |
Anyone have a Caad9 frame/frameset in 50cm? Looking to trade my 52cm 2009 Caad9-5 frame for a similar one. Thanks!

Righto, its always on the right hand side downstroke of the crank
Could it be the right crank arm clipping the cable from the front mech? I've had that before... |

Loving the orange (it is orange, right?) tape!n Kinda reminds me of my alma mater. And now that the lovely black tape on my bike is missing a big chunk on one side... well, I might just feel compelled to copy you!
