Thanks everyone.....greatly appreciated!

Now if someone could help me with my other pending query (post#1447)

"Have a quick question that I'm hoping some CAAD10 owners can help with:

Do you find that the RD cable that runs below the right side chain stay is very close to the chainstay itself (at one point almost touching) and does not run parallel to the chainstay like a lot of other bikes? I find this to the be case on my C10 and I noticed the same thing on another C10 at the LBS.

Thanks "

I will post a pic tonight to illustrate.

Yeah, it's supposed to be like that, runs very close below the chainstay.

Yes, non-drive side pic. I read through the whole thread and never saw a pic of a CAADX so here is my CAADX 105. I swapped out the wheels for some of last years Ksyrium SLs. I don't care for the red accents of this years model and got them for 700. Swapped out the big ring for a 50 and put on an ultegra cassette in a 11-28. That sets me up pretty well for the hills I ride in which include some honest 20% climbs. Sometimes I'm looking for a gear I just don't have but I working on adding horsepower to the engine. Love the bike. Not sure what I'm giving up to the CAAD10 but maybe the weight of a filled water bottle. I'm pretty new to all this. I got the CAADX because many of my rides are on gravel/rocky roads where I live. If I take the bike in the car I can use the road wheels and tires. This is my first post. Hope it works. BTW the koolaid is sweeet.

Thanks. It's hard to tell from the pictures but the bike is brushed aluminum with a clear coat. I am in love with the silver and black look and it hides the caliche dust around here really well. Anybody else have one of these?

I used to live in Arizona. I'm familiar. :)

I was trying to completely blacken out my BBQ CAAD9, but I couldn't get away from having "some" silver on it so
I learned to embrace silver accents on the bike and I can't tell you how much I am in love with it's color scheme.
The final piece of the puzzle (the wheelset) was just perfect for the bike with black rims that have a silver face
and black boxes where the spoke attaches.

My next bike (hopefully, a Cannondale SuperSix EVO) will be blackety black-black-black! :D

Is that dog drooling over your bike? Can't say I blame him - like the brushed aluminum look. Can't say I've seen that before.

I'm liking the extra details, i.e. the red seatpost collar, the red tipped skewers, nice ride. I might have to add similar details to my white CAAD9.

Flush it out with some WD40 with a straw nozzle, use some wet lube.
Slide a papertowel folded in between the crank arm and BB to remove the excess.
See how that works out for you.

If you don't have some wet lube, get some. I lube my bike before every ride.

My personal favorite is Rock&Roll Gold.

I know man!! The styling is so gorgeous! I like everything about it, except that it's not made in the USA. Otherwise I'd get one tomorrow, though I still might.

Out thuging about on the CAAD9 for the first time today.

It has grown on me. Especially since I've seen so many of it's styling cues on the SuperSix EVO.

Welcome to the fold.

You'll never go back to riding something else.
PS: I saw your pic on the Cannondale facebook fan page, great looking ride.

thanks, i was told it was 'ok' to ride with that noise, so i did for 100 miles on the tour. then came back to clean off chain, turned the crank, no noise...i must have turned it so much that the dirt came out from all the lube i put in. NOW after cleaning the rear wheel the same way, but between last cog and spokes when turning wheel for coasting, it has the same noise from cranks! :twitchy: the lube i put in is TRI FLOW. same stuff i used at crank...i guess after spinning the wheel for a while it will eventually be flushed out? so much trouble...
