OK Up way to late. But the carbon flat bars came in today. Had to let every one go to bed so I could have some me time.:p

Well 2 Hr's later, and change of brifters and brakes I install the bars and new tape, But before that it needed new cables.

I took the 105 set off the 8 and put it on the 9 is what happened. Any way,,,, New tape, bars and set on the 8 for now.

The 9 has some cools stuff on the way. More to come.

Caad 12-08-11 08:28 AM

Has anyone had their Caad fork fail on them without any signs of wear prior to the SPLOSION?

I have never seen a caad with a flat bar and fenders but I`m new to the caad scene, I mean clut. :) Looks great. What kind of wheel set is that, looks like the wheels have big blue nipples on them. Oh also how do they ride, they just look cool.

Wheels are Mavic K10. All aluminum 10 year anniversity edition. Just blue presta covers. Best investment I made . They came with good tires installed and the parts are all servicable. They are fast. Here is my caad9 after its' first summer with the campy freehub on.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=229830

It's a CAAD but it's a hybrid. I have one also....Pretty neat bike. Has the feel of a CAAD road bike just a bit softer ride and the head shock system can be locked out or engaged at the turn of a knob. Mine's about 21.9 Lbs.
I want to put some fenders and bags on it also.http://spookeaymarine.info/photos/war4.jpg

Figured this might be a good thread to ask (sorry if I shouldn't...I'm new here). What do you think of this deal: http://baltimore.craigslist.org/bik/2742910139.html

2010 CAAD9 Rival/compact for $800. I don't NEED another bike (currently on a Cervelo S2) but is it a good deal?

Spookeay Bird 12-09-11 01:48 PM

I would say it's a fair price... Not a steal but If I were close and looking for one, I would put it on my list to look at.....
Let me tell you what... These 9's will fly,,,,, Just look at mine.,,,, Damn thing's got wings!

If it's as low miles as the seller says, I would say yes it is.

2010. Some 09's and 08's I believe came BB30, but those were race issue bikes I heard.
There were other Cannondales that came BB30 before them (I believe a CAAD7?).

H-E-Double Hockey Sticks Yeah!
I don't prefer Rival, but I'd sell my left elbow to get that puppy!
I'd pay the $800. JUST for the frameset and the Force Crankset alone!
:D

A Cdale road bike with a shock on it, man where have I been. Kinda like the shock on the Bad Boy looks like. I bet that is one smooth ride and not bad on the weight either. :thumb: Just put some wider tires on it.Might make for a good cross race bike :)

Yep, crazy but works. Still can't get used to it. Been on a Road bike so long the flat bars make me feel like a sail on a boat.... But any way, it has a 1.6" fork stem not a normal road size. It came with a horid stem. I had to get the 1.5 you see there and put it in the milling machine to make it fit.
