K. Legaskpi - Just FYI, you aren't supposed to run a spacer above the stem according to Cannondale. That compression cap that you have on there (the one that reads "SYSTEM INTEGRATION") actually extends down into the carbon fork steerer. It's supposed to internally reinforce the steerer for the full length of the stem clamp, but if you run a spacer above the stem like you are doing, you are essentially leaving part of the steerer vulnerable to a potential failure. You should cut the steerer down to 2-3mm below the top of the stem and use NO spacers above it. You could also put one or more spacers under the stem if you don't want to go through the trouble of cutting the steerer.
I just thought this was worth mentioning, because most people think a spacer above the stem is good practice. It is with some manufacturers, but Cannondale does things differently I guess. |
I just received my portable electronic scale in the mail, so I weighed my '11 56cm black CAAD 10 5. I'm a little disappointed with the results. It weighs in at 19.73 lbs. I was hoping it weighed in at 18 lbs, as a salesperson at the Clean Machine bike shop in Carrboro, NC, had said.

Might be closer with out the reflectors, pie plate, and tool kit.

This just fell on my lap this weekend as I wasn't really looking for another bike, but what the hell I'll add it to what I ready have not that I really need another bike but this came so cheap as it's near brand new. I have a Litespeed Ti also a Seven Ti as I haven't owned any of the mainstream brand as this will complete my collection as I'm now joining the CAAD Cult:

And I'm liking CAAD8's. That's a nice paint scheme. Very tasteful. :) |

http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qt...0/P1030877.JPG (sorry again for the crappy indoor pic..) 15.6lbs as pictured, a little less than 1lb saved from the fulcrum clinchers. I guess for the price of the Yishuns, I can't complain! |
What is it? A 56?
You're going to HAVE TO let me take it for a spin when I get back to NY bro! No snow right now in West Virginia. :D Going hill hunting tomorrow. Wheels look great! |

haha, sure, I'll trade for a few miles... ...nevermind :P ;) have fun, I hear it's beautiful riding down there! and, thanks. Lots of roads to ride and lots of trails (like 800 miles worth). |
Some really nice looking CAADs guys.
DGlenday- Sweet color scheme. With some newer parts and some carbon wheels it has the potential to be a real jaw dropper. Oh, and the saddle bag can go to.:D |
New stem, rings and seatpost. Also painted the generic Asian fork to match.

Hard to envision that. I enjoy riding it too much! Would be very hard to replace. It was ordered as a factory frame, That's why it doesn't have all that superfluous writing on it.
Still, the 9 will never leave my side. So, I understand. ;) |
