I ended up replacing my BB30 bearing with a set of Phil Wood bearings and some loctite 680 retaining compound. Also added some Praxis Works chainrings last night and they look awesome. I am waiting for my wheels to get here on Friday to post some updated pics. I ended up getting a used set of PSIMET 50mm clinchers (24/28 CX Ray spokes, novatec hubs). I am thinking about adding some graphics to the wheelset. I want to add a little color and stealth lettering. I am going to see if they can make the following with gloss black cannondale lettering. If not then I will just use the green cannondale logos on the wheels. Similar to how some people leave just the firecrest logo or reynolds logo sans lettering. The wheels are Matte UD carbon.

Here is my CAAD10 Rival, Relatively new to racing but I love it. I rode an 8000 Orbea today, besides the di2 and the smoothness Shimano gave. The frame didn't seem to much better than the alumin Caad10. I can't afford to race a carbon bike anyway :). CAADs are the BOMB! |
I hit over 7000 miles on my cannondale caad10!, sorry for the late post.

Are you 6' with a 94cm inseam? Maybe it's a perspective thing, but that saddle height on a 56 looks insane for 6'-er!

how do you decide which bike to ride? Is your CAAD crits/rainonly?

What's up fellow CAAD Cutlers? I have not posted in a while, It's been a busy spring for me. Moving racing and divorce! It's hard to see in this image, but I found some Michelin Pro Race 3's that are a near match to my bikes blue. They are super sweet tires, good grip, lively feel and good wear. I have taken them on some gravel roads with no issue. Keep the rubber side down, boys and girls, and ride like you stole it!

I actually bought this to be the "rainy day" backup for the Ridley. I doubt I'll ever get into racing as I only ride primarily on the weekends(100-150 miles) with an occasional 20-30 mile ride during the week; besides work and chasing after the little ones (5yr, 3yr, 16mos) most of my spare time has been focused on shorinji kempo. I've begun training again as I took a long 6-7 yr. hiatus and now practicing and working for my 1st degree black belt.

What is it with you guys and your rainy day bikes? Bikes are meant to be ridden in all kinds of weather! You just have to wash it when your done. I ride the same bike rain, shine, snow. I even ride it on unpaved roads. I guess if a person is a **** mechanic or doesn't take the time to learn then I undersand........ no,forget that, buy the tools and gain the knowledge to maintain your bike!
Another advantage of multiple bikes is that you have "spare parts" on other bikes. :) |
I got my wheels yesterday and converted them to tubeless. Here is an updated pic with everything I have changed from stock. Washed it today as it was filthy from an early morning group ride in the rain today.

Both Liquigas Caad10s and the Caad9/cosmic look great. I'm officially a caad cult member after taking the Caad10 out for the first time this morning. I had originally planned on a short 15-20 mile loop and to switch to the Noah to meet up with my group. That never happened and eventually turned into a 55 mile ride. I must say, this bike has me impressed as this Caad10 is as responsive as the Noah, and almost didn't feel like I was riding an aluminum frameset.
|
Am I allowed in the cult, I also have a Madone......ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmake that 2 Madones.
