Kind of Blued 12-04-11 04:59 AM

FWIW, my local Cannondale dealer looked into getting me a 2012 CAAD10 frameset today. According to them, the color options are the Liquigas Replica scheme, and the black one with white lettering. Bummer, considering I wanted the black on black or the brushed aluminum finish.

Anyway, thought I'd share in case anybody had the same question as me a couple pages ago.

2010+ CAAD9-6's are BB30's.
If it's a BB30, you can get a Hollowgram.
If not, you'll need an adapter.
Post pics of it.

Thank you. Pics forthcoming after I complete the build. First I need a headset! Can anyone confirm it is a Campy Hiddenset standard? Also, how can I tell which year it it? There's no marking on the downtube indicating it's a BB30 so I guess not?

I'm a black/black kind of guy, but I must admit, I really like that Replica scheme.

I'll try to explain how...

Load them up to Photobucket.com (follow their instructions). When you have them there, right click on the pick, copy the URL Link, come here, click on the icon to the left of the film real above this post box (the picture box), when that box pops up, "paste" the URL Link from Photobucket that you copied and hit close that box out. Done.

Keep your pics to a manageable size 400 X 500 max.

I'm pretty sure BB30 framesets literally say BB30 on them, but don't quote me on that.

Don't matter, you're hear now! Have some Kool Aid and relax!

The Kool Aid sure is good, LOL, but I don`t know if I`m riding it or it`s riding me? This bike wants to be ridin hard. I found out that the harder you ride it, the funner it is. I still cann`t believe how much difference between the Synapse and this. Don`t get me wrong the Synapse is a very good bike and my first road bike in a very, very long time. It is a good cruising road bike, but this bike just want you to try and unleash the Kracken out of it  as 2ndGen would like to say and I see why now :) Its the best bike I ever had.:D

My first road bike - straight into The Cult!

Having ridden mountain bikes for years, I have taken my first plunge into the world or road bikes. After many weeks of research I settled on a CAAD 8 105....

It may not be a 9 or a 10, but I love my new bike!

Fast, responsive, awesome handling... Did I say I love my new bike?! :D

Not for nothing, but those 8's are getting the best color schemes!
And I'd rather have an 8 than any other bike in it's range!
I like it a lot. Welcome to The Cult!

Will the ENVE fork 2.0 fit the same as the Ultra on a 56cm CAAD9 frame? Also what does the original weigh? If its under a doller per gram im in for a new fork. Assuming it rides the same or better and has the same rake and lenth etc.

Yes.

You lose about 250g (OEM 567g),
it's stiffer and handles better and
it rides way better than the OEM Ultra.

And, under $1./gram savings is not reasonable.
But it comes in at about $1.24/gram saved.

Thanks! Yeah I loved the colour scheme of this one too... After I saw it, no other bike seemed cool enough and I just kept coming back to it! Even the knowledge that the white bar bar tape would barely last 5 minutes wasn't enough to dissuade me ;)

I like that too!... You know I like my 8 more than my 9 also so nothing wrong with the 8 at all....... I don't own a 10 because it's not Made in the USA. I'm sure it's just as good but it's a principle/traditional thing. Carbon Cannondale, I would buy not made in the USA.

Ahhh! True love! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ys/smitten.gif

martialman.45 12-06-11 02:16 PM

That fork is tempting. What is the retail price and is the rake/length the same?

ussprinceton 12-06-11 03:37 PM

the black and white saddle matches the rest of the bike
