Question about a carbon bike I purchased

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Only on BF would someone come asking for information on their bike but refuse to state what bike it is.

I suppose people are supposed to read his mind to find this information.

It's not about a bike brand. It's about a manufacturing process and the discrepancy between what you read and what you get. It's that simple. It could be a Colnago, a Pinarello, an Olmo, a Tommasino, or an Italian bike of your imagination. The name of the bike and the brand is irrelevant (in my opinion)

there are people here who work in the industry and know the manufacturing companies that supply these devious lying italian brands. if you name the brand, they can tell you who made it and what they make it with.

You want to know what grade of carbon your frame was made with. You expect to find this out without telling anyone what frame it is. That is very, very, far from irrelevant.

I've never ever seen anyone buy an expensive carbon bike and not only not brag about it, but refuse to even name it. This sounds really, really suspicious.

How bout: you're asking everyone for help and acting like an information nazi when questioned about, as you describe it, irrelevant information. Then just share it if it's of no consequence.

It is unlikely that anyone knows what exactly it is made of except 'carbon fiber'. They pump out so many frames that the factories probably aren't really sure. And nobody is going to backtrack to the factory to check the lot number as a cross reference to the frame serial number even if they could answer your question.

So nobody here can help you unless they are affiliated with the company and you won't share the company name, so you are done here.

either the bike is hot and dude is trying to find out what he stole by being coy, or at about the time that this thread finds its way to the bottom of the page (i.e. when he's no longer receiving any attention), the op will then throw out what his frame brand is and state something in a condescending manner about how he was performing an experiment intended to get people in a tizzy, and we all fell for it.

blah, blah, pathetic, blah

Oh, please. I'm not asking everyone for help, just those who choose to respond to the thread. Second, it's of no consequence to the responder. What's the fascination with the brand and model?

I'd hate to be associated with a tizzy, although I've been associated with worse; BF for instance.

Soooooo, you posted on a public internet forum where any and everyone can respond and now you're pretending that you're selective in who you intended to 'help'?

And everyone here is a cyclist, i think, of course they're fascinated with brand and model. I'm sure you took it much further than that by being even interested in MFG origin. Seriously, have you taken your meds today?
