Have you thought about buying the windscreen for that helmet, Jen? I think they look better with them. I cite Team Sky and Emma Pooley in particular as having the aero cyborg look. Without the reflective visor she would look way less cool.

Yeah, I plan to get one, they're just tough to find. Though to be honest I haven't put in much effort yet.

I like the first bike choice a lot. Blasphemous or not, it's nice, and of course, it's got checkered flag graphics.

I sent my camera out to the friend I was on a road trip with last year so I filled the void with one of these. It's charging right now and then I'm going to figure out some way to mount it to the bike. Hopefully it will look decent since it doesn't shoot in HD.

How do you figure?
As far as the choice, it would depend on what you want to do with it. If OS X is the flavor you like, well, you choice is a little more clear. Personally, I'd build a new gaming rig and rest easy knowing that I can upgrade parts as they become a little longer in the tooth. With the release of AMDs bulldozer, I may finally be in line for a bigger overhaul of my computer, but I've already gotten 3 generations of CPU and GPU out of my current motherboard. Even so, a "big" overhaul will only be a new motherboard, CPU and RAM, everything else (GPU, BD drive, SSD, PSU, case, monitor) can stay put.

We really do have similar riding styles. If I make it out to CO this year I might have to time it to coincide with a brevet. I'm caring less and less for the expense of navigating through the beginner racing categories. $500-$1300 in race fees alone to get through the 5's? I'll take a day in the country without seeing a field of angry office workers anytime for free.

No Velo Vol. You are on your own when on a Brevet/Populaire. I was planning on running the route backwards in my truck, as I knew there may have been people left out there. Unfortunately, by the time I warmed up and quit shivering enough to drive, the folks that were near me were back. It was only a 106K, and there were 3 that finished in 6 hours.

Took off at midnight for the first 41. Got home went to bed. Woke up at 8:00am went for another 42 at 9:45am. Heading back to my house my friend texted me asking if I had ridden yet. I told him I had 83miles in, but sure why not? He wanted to meet me in an hour. I told him make it two. Then we repeated the loop I did at midnight. I slept like a baby. Then I woke up, and rode 55miles at 7am on Sunday, and spent the rest of the day working on my bikes. I'll take some pics of the progress when I get home. The Trek dropped 151g, and the Cervelo gained 66g.
