I missed a nearly new GT MTB on the local Craigslist today. I am a very big fan of the old triple triangle GT's and cried when they went out of business. The irony, at nearly the same minute that it was posted I noticed that the merry go round I was putting together was made by Pacific Cycle. F Pacific effing Cycle and their merry go round with what used to some of the best US made bike brands.
I bought my brother a brand new GT full suspension for his birthday, pre 2000, and ended up replacing the drivetrain because I rode it so much. The last year or so I have been in full on hunting mode for another one and nearly bought either a hardtail or a road bike to lessen the urges. My brothers GT was by far the best bike I have ever ridden and I will own another sometime soon.

Half tempted to put my 150mm stem on the Outpost and take it for a trail ride, but gotta put it on the CL tomorrow before I get attached to it.

I hear some of those Florida bridges are real knee-busters.

Sleeping seems way more valuable to me in the 6am-9am hours than in the 10pm-1am hours.

that is one SWEET machine!! absolutely stunning!
what size cassette are you running? i'm torn between getting an 11-23 or 11-25!? its mostly flat around here, except that i've had to use my 39/25 combo on a few rare occasions! hmmmm...
i currently have DA7900 on my S2 and love it, but i've never tried RED, and why not try something different, hahahaha!!! i hope i'm not making a mistake....

I hit the stem of my mtb two days before the state championships one year. It resulted in a "bruised bone". I ended up having accupuncture and a few other pain management techniques. I could barely even stand to be on a bike or walk afterwards. The race was the muddiest race that I have ever ridden and I was completely miserable the entire time. I managed to finish third and ended up third for the season but I'm still not sure it was worth it.
