I sometimes try to get into the rotation so I'm not pulling the last mile so I can be fresh for the final sprint. It usually doesn't work out the way I planned.

NYRhyme 05-06-11 08:14 PM

I thought I was getting more and more fit, but today i burned out after 2 miles.

M_FactorX19 05-06-11 08:58 PM

ok ill play..

i worked as a bike mechanic at Dicks sporting goods but quit because i got tired of working on lame bikes and keep missing group rides.

i have spent twice(almost 3 times) as much on upgrades as i paid for the bike.

i am NOT to fat for this sport.

i climb better than i sprint but wish it was the other way around.

If it wasn't for the spell checker, I'd look extremely illiterate sometimes.

i thought i was the only one. i think you could beat me at a spelling bee. ive always been a math guy

who shaves their legs to go faster? after you crash and get some good road rash you will wish you did shave your legs. i also think it looks odd to see hairy legs on bike short /bibs. to each his own i guess.

+1 to that.

This thread is turning into the Addiction addicts one.

Ok, ok, this a thought so far. Every time I see those runner/jogger on the bike lane when there's a dedicated jogging/running lane next to it, I feel like running them over with my bike. Yes, a $3000 bike, and I think it's worth it even if total my bike while doing it. So, one of these days you guys read on the news paper that someone got run over by a bicycle, it's most likely me. :D

Velo_Tut 05-06-11 11:47 PM

I really want to shave my legs, but my wife asked me not to, so I didn't.

Jay-W 05-06-11 11:57 PM

I'm tired of living and cycling in Australia.

I'd hate to use the bathroom after that guy on a Monday morning!

Sometimes, when I'm home alone, I take my bike into my bedroom, whisper sweet nothings to her, massage a little chamois cream onto her top tube, and then...

I don't use GPS, own a smart phone or a wireless computer.

And I have no desire for any of them.

I do think some of the videos that show a lot of that info are pretty cool.

surgeonstone 05-07-11 09:29 AM

I don't really want to go for a ride right now
But I know if I do I will feel better than if I don't
so i will go.....eventually.

shopgirl 05-07-11 09:32 AM

-Early on, when I first started cycling, I made the mistake of buying one of those stupid "skort" things with bike shorts attached underneath. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm too embarrassed to ever wear it.
-I put $15 Look Delta pedals on my CAAD 10.

bigd 05-07-11 09:34 AM

In the winter, I dress in commuter gear so no one questions why I'm out riding in the bad conditions every day.

I wear underwear under my bibs in cold conditions.
