Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I only roadied mine out because I bought a new TT bike, I'd slam that stem though.

I did that with a Cannondale TT frame but it never worked quite right for me. Sold it and switched the stuff to a Litespeed Ultimate that popped up on eBay and I've been good.

OP's bike is a good looking bike.

So the guy trash-talking you up that hill had a point...

It does climb way better than the BMC though (while being a much cheaper bike). The chainstays being 2cm shorter and the head tube being 4.5cm shorter makes it feel extremely planted when you get out of the saddle. Is it faster up hills? not really. Does it feel better? oh yeah.
