creaking BB
Hi I have a 2010 synapse with a FSA-K light crank and it has a creaking sound when I'm doing standing climbs BUT only when pushing down in right side (drive side) and it's driving me crazy.
I have pulled apart the crank cleaned it and greased the shaft, spline, and threads and torqued it to spec. Also re-torqued chain ring bolts and pedals.
The only I didn't do was remove the bearings in the BB (waiting on tool). BTW it's a BB30.
The sound is definitely coming from the BB area .
Anybody else have this problem and what did you do about it**********

A BB30 only has 2 bearings in it once the crank is pulled . What kind of BB is yours ??

Ducati...there is currently a thread on the board about this...have a read. Likely culprit is to pull the bearings, clean and use grease around the outer race and repress. If that doesn't work, get some Loctite.
Btw...which Ducati do you have?

"Anyone else have this problem?"
Funny you should ask!
(The answer is "yes" and the number of threads on this, and every other cycling forum, describing it in relation to BB30 is off the charts. For the record, I really loved my BB30 when it was new and silent. 500 miles later? Let's just say that I like my cycling products to be low-maintenance and trouble-free.)
