A friend of mine told me that white bikes are faster than black ones.
I told her the paintjob had nothing to do with bike performance.

the lack of dye is the root of why white is clearly lighter...now if you had a brain you would have bought a bike that was carbon with no paint, just a matte clear(the lightest) no shiny stuff to weigh it down...duh

Black bikes are faster than white. I mean, it's obvious. I though everyone knew this.
The black paint absorbs heat better. This causes the air inside the frame tubes to expand, pushing air molecules out of the tubes. Less air in tubes = lighter bike = faster. QED.

What crack-pot logic. Everyone knows that expanded frame tubes increased aerodynamic drag, reducing speed.
