For the purposes of this thread sub 2k equals a budget bike. Personally I only have about $600 into mine.

When you put it next to a $15,000 bike, it becomes clear $1800 equals a budget bike. :)

$969 for the bike shipped to my door, $60 stem, $45 handlebars, $80 post, $75 saddle. I ended up getting a 20mm setback seatpost, medium Specialized Romin saddle, 110mm stem (started with a 120, went to a 90, now 110), and switch from the ergo bars to these round bars that I'm not entirely sold on yet. If I could do it all over again, I'd start with a 2cm shorter top-tube bike...but it looks okay now.
When I got it back in April (ugly seat, jacked stem, luggage)

After 3000 miles of cycling, some fit adjustments, and a better idea of what makes a bike pretty.

Nashbar and Pricepoint had sales on PRO stuff, so I picked that brand and ran with it.

Unfortunately I may have to get a shorter frame to be ultimately happy, and that will probably be an FM066. This will do for now.

nice the new cockpit and post really complemented the bike.

That Sette is sharp. Er, I mean hot.

bianchi10 08-05-13 07:51 PM

nice upgrades to the sette.

SirHustlerEsq 08-05-13 09:47 PM

Thanks guys. Next up are a set of Flo 30s and there has to be a dirt cheap, black crank out there for me. I troll CL and eBay daily looking for a black crank set at low price.

I need to weigh it too, after I drop 400g from the wheels.

bianchi10 08-05-13 09:51 PM

Go to slowtwitch.com and look at their classifieds. They have great deals. I don't even go to Craigslist anymore.

As I mentioned in the Cult thread, you have a great bike. For these "Hot or Not" type threads the photo really counts. This pic takes away from your bike a lot. Those that have not seen a better pic don't get the full image of this CAAD. I say hot bike, really bad pic.

Thank you. I'll take it. I should probably go out and take a proper picture before posting. Oopsies.

Definitely hot but would be even better if the tires were black and I'm actually a big fan of classic bend handlebars. :thumb:

Would be hot if the bars were angled correctly. But it's warm. :thumb:

Posted in the regular H/o/N, but at $1399 new, it could fit here as well.

RoadMike 08-17-13 07:23 PM
