Yes, it's the nashbar frame with a full carbon fork and mainly ultegra 6500 components (closeouts and CL scrounging). Need to upgrade the shifters and wheelset once they wear out. For now, the ride is quite acceptable.

Will post better pic when I get my wheels back. Not really "hot", but I like it! Just need some white bar tape. And bottle holders. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=237665 |

drive side crank needs to be at 3 oclock position, you must kneel down to have camera be leveled with the bike. must have entertaining background and surroundings.

i think its funny that the "budget" bikes are under 2k. i can get a badass full carbon gt, with rival for about 1600-1700.
i would think budget would be under 1k. |
Agreed. Budget training/racing bike should be under $1k. I'm aiming for $700 on mine.
Giant: Not - Flyte: Meh (weird thing going on with the tape and saddle. also busy) - TI: Hot, but not cheap. - KHS: DSLR and that top photo is *that* dark? Just building up some negative snark karma for when I post mine this spring. Edit: purple Bianchi is the hotness. |

I think budget means anything that was built with an eye on value and low cost, rather than no-holds-barred all-the-bling possible bikes.

Close enough, I'm not climbing all the way up there again. |
It's not hard people
1. Put the bike in front of a non distracting solid background such as a wall or garage door, make sure the front wheel is pointing straight... 2. Chain in the big ring, small cog, align crank arm with chainstay or seat tube 3. Align valve stems / tire logos if you want 4. Step back, zoom in, fill the frame with the bike at a crouching level 5. Take the picture, make sure it's not blurry or underexposed. Keep trying until one of them is presentable. |

Seriously though, hot bike! |
I built this up for just over $1700 sans the wheelset that I already had... 09 Zipp 404s were bought used in late '10 for 900. Since this pic I have cut the fork and installed a 3T 130 6 deg team stem to get a good fit.

So then you've spent in excess of 2000 on it
