While adjusting fore/aft position is a pretty reasonable time for it to happen, actually. I'm used to/prefer a slight up angle, and since this bike is set up less aggressively than my other bike, it seems reasonable to me that I didn't notice it. But if you're not satisfied yet, let me know.

That Klein is beautiful -- definite Hot. Nice work on that one. So uplifting to see that triple crank and skyward facing ergo bar go die somewhere. Plus nice silver wraps and complementing black seatpost and stem.

How long are those crankarms? They look more than 175. Serious stuff.

Thanks. Nope, 175mm. I'm a big masher and I've wanted to try 175mm cranks for a while...and it was convenient that this group I got from eBay had them :)

The 5500 group found a home with another BFer who was building a bike for a new rider. It was in fantastic condition and the sale of those components helped offset the cost of my additions.

nah that's what happens when you fix back2back flats for a friend and she never washes her drive train.....The Kevlar bead detached from the side wall. I didn't get around to trying to clean or replace the tape yet.

If those Planet X frames had about half the top tube drop i'd buy one. They just look a little to mountain bikish to me.

omg@csb rigida wheelset. don't break a spoke!

i dont plan to. were they known to break? i searched for spares but none have developed.

i am just concerned about sourcing a replacement if a mishap were to occur. i don't think they were known to break easily, but they were well before my time to be honest.

my analysis is similar. i dont see them breaking unless i go down. at that rate i will be more concerned about the frame, fork, rear derailleur, and brake levers. the wheels fit the ascetics of the build but i could save a few pounds off the bike with cheap modern wheels.
