Road helmets for big heads
Hi all,
I searched the forum for helmets for big heads but came up nothing. Perhaps I didn't put right keywords. Anyway, do y'all know which helmets can fit people with hat size of 7 3/4-8?
I did some research and apparently Bontrager Quantum has XL size. However, I do not like its minimum vents. Right now, I am using a Large Gire Atmos without inside padding and I am still not comfortable.

The Limar Ultralight 104 runs pretty large. I had to send mine back because it was far too big. I think it was a large. I wear an Ionos now, but I forget what size it is.

My Bell Alchera in a large fits my 7 3/4 head and it's very comfortable.

I like the Lazer Helium for my giant head. The XL size goes to 65cm. Kinda pricey, but that's the price you pay for the large brain case.

If you have a specialized dealer around check out the the Specialized MAX. Part of their recreational series but does not look too bad and is well ventilated. Only helmet I've worn that I did not have to remove the pads. Actually, I can wear a fleece balaclava underneath and I still have extra room. Having said that, I'd like to check out the Lazer Helium

I have a ginormous noggin too - Tried a large Giro Atmos and it was too tight. Then I got the Spesh Propero II. The large is plenty big, 57 - 63cm, and very very comfy.

I have the same issue. The following work well. I really liked the LAS and S-works over the Laser based on comfort (personal preferences).
LAS Squalo - XL covers to 63cm.
Specialized S-Works Prevail - L covers to 63cm.
Laser Helium - XL/XXL covers to 64cm.

I have always had trouble buying any type of headgear due to the size of my head and I found a Limar 911 helmet at a local shop. It fits quite comfortably and looks pretty good as well.
.
It isn't the lightest one out there but it sure makes MY head happy
.
Cheers,
Brian J.

Just bought a Louis Garneau X-Lite Helmet. Finally a light weight helmet for us with Kazoo sized heads!
Weighs 225g on the US postal scale!
