He is unless you are a squirrel, a cat, or our cocker spaniel. He quickly earned the nickname "terrorist" for how he treats them. However he was cuddled next to me when I posted that picture this morning.

Your results may vary.

I guess I'd say I ride like a bloodhound. I ride not exactly fast but purposefully and I'm easily distracted by scents. I passed by amazingly good smelling burger scent downtown yesterday. I had to turn around and home in on the burger 'til I had one in my face.

I sometimes smell a Chinese restaurant whilst pedaling by. I do not stop.

He belongs in the Hall of Fame. And he got the most important hit in NY Mets history when his single started their legendary comeback rally in extra innings in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. Great baseball player. Great guy. We were blessed to have him on our team.

If I ever get over to Vietnam I'd be game to try some dog.

The closest I've had to pet-as-food here in the states has been rabbit, however. Loved it, would eat again.

I've had a couple of pet rabbits but buried them both in the back yard.

I don't have anything against eating animals that are commonly kept as pets, but, and I don't know why, I've got this thing against eating (primarily) predatory animals. I guess that many fish species would be an exception, but other than that...

You don't seem like the type.

Lester, yes, but not you.

WTF? This thread is taking a scary new turn. Just be forewarned. I catch any of you trying to eat any of my pets and I am shooting. Well actually I'd be happy to get rid of two of my cats.

Not so amazingly, that is probably what they are thinking about you...

It's not me they hate. It's the poodle. I feed them, so they like me. I can't blame them for if something 5 times my size always wanted to slap me around, I wouldn't like it either. However they bring it upon themselves when they fight back. My black cat the assassin, he doesn't fight with the poodle. He picks his battles well. He runs away from the poodle as fast as he can, and then jumps somewhere, where the poodle cannot get him. He is a smart cat. It is much more effective than the stand your ground hiss, and smack at the poodle approach. That gets you no where. Once you get the poodle going, he is hard to calm down.
