I meant anyone that bumps it back to page 1.

Please let that thread go away or I may need to be committed!

that is not sane thinking. go on a rampage against anyone who bumps it back up. or have them committed instead.

Let's try this again. Do you have a link to this saddle? Someone created a 135g Aliante?

Nevermind it is an Antares that is 135g. The lightest Aliante is 199g. That is stupid heavy. I recommend trying an SLR. Mine is really comfortable, and it is pretty light. There is no way I would spend over $200 for a 200g saddle. I don't care how much my ass likes that particular saddle.

The Martians obviously didn't know what they were doing. It'll work this time. For sure.

The premise is a simple one: If we reset American colonization, and the first settlers had the ability to heat and cool their homes, the nation would look much different. I'm surprised anyone disagrees with me.

Hey sbxx

Have you ever seen a non-driver charged with vehicular homicide?

What about the folks who were here before the colonists? They may not be as accommodating as the first time.

We give them bicycles, and send them to play out in the traffic.

Exactly. If you're going to assume 21st century technology for the colonists, then why not for the Native Americans. Their border patrol would have been much more effective at keeping out those pesky English, French, and Spanish.

I'm quite confident that the NY Metro area will be fine, Gomer's silly flyover chest pounding not withstanding. Despite ridiculous taxes and other issues, houses in the NY area remain 3x the price of houses in his neck of the woods because people want to live here.

I could live anywhere in North America. My business is not constrained to this region at all. I have family here, and I love the NY area. Greatest city in the world, and the surrounding metro area rocks.

I'm thinking outside the box.

I'm not disagreeing, I'm saying that the premise isn't valid because it's based upon logic that's mind-numbingly faulty. How the hell would colonists have the ability to cool their homes in a manner that was efficient enough to be feasible without possessing the technology that would have lead them to the continent earlier?

No chance. She walks if they try it. They want to max out the boyfriend, so they're using her life as leverage.

"The District Attorney’s Office commonly charges vehicle owners with driving under the influence for allowing a drunk person to drive their car."

Yet, "Anderson added that it is a “typical use of prosecutorial discretion” for a district attorney to drop charges against the owner of a vehicle in a DUI case if the driver pleads guilty."

It's a hypothetical. You would fail as a history major if you can't do a better job than this at engaging in pointless conjecture.

Up next: Do great leaders shape their times, or are they a product of their times?

I've become more pro-vehicular homicide prosecution due to being on a bike the last several years.

Obviously, not all pointless conjecture is created equal. Mental exercises that ignore circumstance (how would the US be different if JWB's shot didn't kill Lincoln?) are one thing, mental exercises that completely ignore human nature are another... and mental exercises that are predicated upon a set of factors so outlandish as to make SC a more viable center-of-the-world vs NYC... well, that's just inconceivable.

Cold here in NYC ,32 degrees, no need for ice.

patentcad 02-20-12 07:37 AM

Cycling while intoxicated is also a bad idea. I've tried that once. On the other hand you're not exactly a big danger to others in that condition, more to yourself.

v70cat 02-20-12 07:40 AM

HVAC aside the prime reason NYC grew was that it was a natural port and is relatively close to Europe. The Hudson river and the Erie barge canal were also key factors.

WhyFi 02-20-12 07:45 AM

^^^ that's been covered, but logic has no place in this conversation.

Maybe we should throw Airplanes and AC in the same theory but then it makes the argument even more far fetched. I guess if you are intoxicated it all make sence?

Big surprise.
