My last SRAM chain snapped on a climb at just over 2,000miles without showing elongation. The KMC chain that replaced it was much quieter and also shifted much more accurately than the SRAm chain did, even on a Force/Rival group.

But shifting accuracy? That's some chain.

I use a dura ace chain with a wipperman connex link but honestly I rarely use the master link anymore to clean my chain.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. It may well be that my last SRAM chain was unusually bad, but I went with KMC on the recommendation of a team mate, and it's without doubt the best chain I've used.

I'm using a SRAM chain right now with 3200 miles on it and it's still good. Shifts fine, no complaints. Looks like it has another 500-1000 miles left in it. I have another SRAM chain as a backup since i've had nothing negative to say about my current chain.

Don't buy KMC.

+1 on KMC X10SL. The Ultegra chain I replaced it with had two different inside plates cracket at the pin. I think I had about 1,000 miles on it. Never again.
