Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Have a good race, iJen! You're a better man, err, woman than me. I hate running. And I only take to water if I'm fishing.

Nine people showed up for the group ride today. Nearly 50 miles and the starting temp was 35F.

I've decided that riding in the 30s temp wise just blows. It is not a natural act for me. Once it got in the 40s everything was just plain hunky dory though.

An amusing occurrence on our route was that we made a 3 minute stop at an attorney's office which was directly on our route. One of the guys had to sign his divorce papers after 30 years.

The devastation in NY/NJ is shocking!

I can hardly continue watching the pictures . . . just awful human suffering.

A lot of debate on the news regarding whether they should cancel the marathon.

Yeah, reminds me a lot of BF . . . you can never get agreement on anything, no matter how logical. Someone is always going to have a different viewpoint.
