I rode my bike for 4 hours today. I think that is a good enough test of my bike setup. No knee pain. 3 cheers.

My daughter took me out to dinner last night and we had Red Robin - my last burger for at least the next year. I also love chocolate, and need to cut back on that as well.

I am about 6 feet 1/2 inch, if I stand up straight maybe even 6 foot 1.

I am going to a local indian all-you-can-eat buffet lunch today, so I will work on gaining some weight.

But yeah, I am pretty gangly. The running has knocked my baseline weight from 145 down to about 138.

For my birthday I decided to get myself a proper beater bike after months of shopping and missing on he CL. Ended up with the CroMo Moto Mirage from BD/BI for $249 (scratch n' dent). No visible damage anywhere except where the skewers hit the dropouts, so not a bad buy for a third bike. Replaced the RD (Sunrace 8 spd) with a spare Sora 9 spd, the downtube Sunrace shifters (will make great bar-ends) with spare Microshift 9 spd levers, and a spare custom-built wheelset. Re-cabled and housed the lines and I must say that since it has been since 1978 since I've ridden steel, it is pretty buttery smooth.
