Well, you've got to go there once, just so you know what you're talking about when poking fun at the trihards.

One of the nicest, humblest guys I met (sort of worked with him) was a Tasmanian, Mark Guy, who had participated in multiple ironman events. He finished 69th in the 2003 Kona Ironman which was a far-from-shabby effort.

Just qualifying to go to Kona in the first place is a far from shabby effort.

I'm now thinking that if I can get the laps up to 30 non-stop, I might even give sprint tri a go when I get back to the Land of Aus. At least in the gym, I know I can run the 5k but slowly, and I think I can bike the 20k.

I'm exhausted just reading that...

Just because he has to get up to pee every 30 minutes doesn't mean he has more get up and go, just means that he has to get up more to go.

Shameless promotion of 2013 Weight/Mile initiative (soon to be sticky on page 1 I hope).

Everyone except Pcad (banned for general party-pooperness), get over to this thread before Jan 1 if you want to compete. Some will do it to track weight loss with miles, some just miles, some just weight. My gift to the 41, like any of you clowns deserve it.

Commuting does it, Clydes/Athenas do it, and with all of the OCP, type-A, Fredly wannabes in this thread, think it might be a nice little challenge.

Do it. Now.

Are you making any spreadsheets or organizing it? Updating it yourself? :D

RT 12-28-12 07:20 AM

Gift was a little sarcastic, but for those who are participating, it is a little something.

Last time I stepped on the scale (maybe 3 days ago) I was 136.5 pounds, so I don't think I am eligible for your thread.

datlas 12-28-12 07:36 AM

My gift to the 41 is my "pet peeve" thread.

Just play for the miles alone then. The Pet Peeve thread is a good one though.

Today is my birthday - 48 big fat years old. Today is also National Chocolate Day.

Is there a message here?
