we're still handwringing over getting a new snowblower.

we went to look at new ones yesterday and can't make a decision if we should spend that much on something that's only used a couple times a year. mr. ts asked me again to try starting the one we have since he put some old race gas in it, (it's a leaded, oxegenated fuel and an opened can loses it's punch as race fuel after a couple weeks, so we use the leftovers for the gas powered tools. then yard work at least smells like we're at the track.) and after 4 or 5 pulls and not even a cough, he got it started on one pull. *shrug*. no idea what i'm doing wrong.

I am thinking that my new year's resolution should be to not reply to any more idiotic postings in the 41.

Of course I could make an exception for "Addiction."

Scrub sounds good.

That would make the women scrubbers, though.

Hmmmm.... maybe not.

Flooding the carb?

I worked with small engines for a couple of years, and there is no determining whether they will start first pull, or 20th.

That race fuel sounds divine. I love the sprint cars, and the methanol smell around the ovals is to die for.

It's only 6.5 acres, but we call it home.

Another fun winter activity here in Central New York is crawling under the Jeep to break away the ice that has built up around the transfer case and front drive shaft.

i'm especially fond of running the weed wacker because when we fill it with pre-mix U4.4 it smells like my two-stroke GP bike.

Actually I know exactly what you are talking about. I've extensive experience with two stroke motocross quads. Raced them for years. Maxima Super-M, and C16 makes for quite a nice smelling concoction.

Good to know. Thanks. That was nice of her.

20 x 25m laps of the pool at the gym this arvo, plus some spin bike, plus some rowing machine, plus some running. Not bad in the pool considering I started about a week ago at 4 laps before I made a B-line to the swirl pool.

I'm now thinking that if I can get the laps up to 30 non-stop, I might even give sprint tri a go when I get back to the Land of Aus. At least in the gym, I know I can run the 5k but slowly, and I think I can bike the 20k.

Peg is nice, and has a lot of class. Troy is a good egg also.

New Years Day ride is turning into a mother. High of 30.

When putting talcum powder in new tires, don't eat Christmas cookies covered with powdered sugar.
