The same stupid winter storm PCAD mentioned has dumped a few inches on us. Just enough to be annoying and to ruin the roads for riding the next few days.

crap

LowCel 12-29-12 12:57 PM

What is this "riding" stuff you people are referring to?

I don't know about you Fredly, but I'll be out there tomorrow to do 30-50. Get a rain bike and some fenders already.

Yes. To be acquired in trade.

One or two of these options:

-upgrade Record 11 to EPS
-SR EPS
-Campy SRM
-Quarq, if Rob can figure out a way. Unlikely with EPS, I think.

I actually hope to ride tomorrow (we have a snow route that we do) but they have done such a bad job lately with the roads that it's likely there will be too much snow and ice. If that's the case, it won't be safe to ride.

Better Fred than Dead.

Grams to dollars, SR EPS makes no sense over a new Record FD, RD, and shifters. Electronics are the same. SR cranks would save 43g, but whatever.

SR EPS is out.

RUOkie 12-29-12 02:51 PM

Just get out your dremel. You could make up that 43g quickly

Dannihilator 12-29-12 02:52 PM

Still makes more sense than those dura ace 9000 cranks.

sbxx1985 12-29-12 03:49 PM

Some idiot on the guitar forum complained about me talking to myself. Predictably, this served as a springboard for a 9 post Pcad monotirade in his honor.

Are you trying to sort a power meter for campy? I saw this thing on a bike at the shop. I think it cost about a sqillion. How about a Rotor Quarq with some praxis rings or something?

RUOkie 12-29-12 04:10 PM

I like it Herbie. I think that would look great on a black Pateka.

sbxx1985 12-29-12 04:16 PM

Frame will go back to Paketa for holes.

I have both. I prefer the compact with the 11-25.

Herbie53 12-29-12 04:24 PM

FWIW the campy fd did not do well shifting the Rotor rings in that photo. Rotor Rings shift kinda crappy in the base case, adding a somewhat flexy lightish FD is fail.

If the pricing works out, I'll get this. It costs a sqillion retail.

She looks fine, but she is messed-up and or does not want you move on!

West Virginia's defense is almost as bad as Rutgers' offense.

Pcad, you are addicted (stupid) If you wipe-out on the ride tomorrow you could break something and be off the bike for good.
