We looked after a couple of Rotties for a couple of days. A young ***** and her pup. Mum wanted to keep playing with our cat. the cat said no. one swipe, across the nose. with claws out and hissing.

The dogs avoided the cat for the rest of their stay.

New poster asks question in Pcad's field of expertise.

By the way, how is it that new members can start threads? Shouldn't they undergo probation?

That cat will tolerate anything the kid can dish out. If I would try that, I would need stitches. They have a very unique relationship :)

Sunny and 25°C here. It's also Friday afternoon. :D

BoomMcNasty 12-13-12 07:05 PM

No sunshine in the sunshine state today.
Gray skies and light mist all day.

is pain free cycling something that comes with careful adjustment or with time and getting used to it?

We did undergo probation by reading all the posts. Only the strong made it to this page.

Thanks everyone for posting pics of your furry kids - loved them all. And thanks for making me laugh reading the posts. There's some funny stuff.

Solo - I was reading a magazine article and thought this info would be useful. The info was provided by a relationship expert.

When you are deciding whether or not to have a relationship, it is important to have clarity about what you truly want. You'll want to know the qualities that are important to you in the person that you want to attract. You also must accept that it is women who do the choosing. Even though it looks like it is men, you all clearly know that it is women who do the choosing. A man desiring a certain woman must firstly get himself in a position to be noticed by her so that she can then give him a signal it's okay to make a move in her direction. You can argue this idea, but eventually you will surrender to the reality that this is the way it is. It is necessary for you to meet a lot of members of the opposite sex. Notice that I said meet, not date or sex. The purpose in doing this is to expand your perception of who the opposite sex is for you. Each of us has a unique idea based on our own personal experiences. So, meeting people outside your comfort zone and being aware of certain traits and preferences will allow you to grow as a human being. it is very helpful to write down your observations about each of the individuals you meet. Here are three things you should be attempting to learn:

1. What is this person's passion in life?
2. What is this person's highest personal value?
3. How does this person treat, relate to and value the opposite sex?

If you are able to discern these things about a new person, you will be able to determine if you want to pursue knowing him or her on a deeper level.

i've never had a pet. Well, a goldfish is not a real pet in the sense of something you can pick up and stroke. I did stroke my fish a few times but I often wonder if that is why I had to flush them down the loo soon after when they unexpectedly turned their toes up and died.

If by winning, you mean doing less well than I used to but in a higher category, then yes.

If I'm not mistaken you have to have 50 posts to send one person a message, but 0 to start a thread read by everyone. Someone explain the logic of that.

Went to the doc today, she said it was the worst sprain she had ever seen! Woohoo!!!!! Prescribed me some Percoset, hopefully that takes the edge off a bit more than the ibuprofen. If not better in two weeks she is having an MRI done. As of right now she is telling me that I'm off the bike for four weeks. :(

Afterwards I celebrated by driving 275 miles to pick up my new bike that I won't be riding any time soon. :o

There's a good explanation/excuse for this. I saw a documentary about a guy who caught fish by tickling their bellies until the fish fell into some kind of stupor. Then he would hurl them out of the water with his hand. I tried the same with my goldfish.

I thought coasting was the lube expert with the home brew.
