What's in your Jersey pocket?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can we please keep this thread on-topic? If you would like to discuss the benefits, pros/cons, etc. of carrying on a bike, please search out one of the dozens of threads that are dedicated to that (most of which are in Advocacy and Safety). If this thread continues down the "gun debate" road, it will be moved to A&S....all because it got off-topic.

Thanks.

BTW, here is just one thread if you'd like to participate.

And also when you have a flat, to remove small wires, shards, thorns, etc. on the inside of tires with tweezers. I can feel them with my fingers but have a hard time seeing them without glasses.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Ouside of the usual toolkit in a ziploc, I love Trader Joes Fig Bars when cycling. I go through boxes of them. I also sometimes carry a gel flask filled with ground chia and lime juice in agave syrup and an almond butter sandwich if the ride is over 3 hours. Also, cell phone running Strava in another ziploc.

The only interesting thing in my toolkit is an old piece of an old GP4000 tire that I sanded down to serve as a boot. It has saved my ass on a couple of occassions. Also, two tubes and generic threaded 16g catridges. Not a pump fan.

Biggest thing in the jersey pockets is usually a vest or a jacket or both. Otherwise, a Hammer coin purse with Endurolytes in it in the right pocket. In the summer, I shove it up my shorts leg. Left pocket has a 35mm film container with bandaids, ibuprofen, a couple of codeines, and a thick wrap of electrical tape around it (for rim tape, etc.). Seat pack has 2 spare tubes and a patch kit also containing a couple of chain pins, master link, and a miniature Swiss Army knife. I also have a bit a chamois for wiping glasses and various tire boot materials. Also a few zip ties. I also have a brake and a shift cable. If I have room, and I usually do, I carry a spare tire. Pump is a Road Morph G.
